When God Made Woman

It never ceases to blow my mind, God’s mind for making Woman

Standing here and looking at you

It makes me wonder what He was up to

Was He thinking about me, when He thought about You

It must’ve been the most beautiful day

Looking down on all creation

He took a rib from a sleeping man

And crafted it into a Woman, priced far above rubies

With the mandate of a help-meet

And presented her in the most precious way

When God made Woman

He must’ve intended for her to represent His Beauty and Glory

When she makes herself clothing of silk and purple

He included the finesse of strength and honour

Strength enough to birth all living and Strength enough to augment a man’s weakness

When God made Woman

He must’ve intended for the world to be comfortable and exciting

He must’ve intended for us to have mothers and sisters. And daughters

He must’ve intended for every man to have a wife

He must’ve been thinking about us all

And this happy day

When God made Woman

He must have given His all
He must’ve been proud

He must’ve laughed aloud in ecstacy

Or cried aloud like the first time a virgin knows a man

When God Made Woman
