Hi. Hope your day’s going well? It’s a fair weather afternoon and as usual I’ve got some gist for ya but first I want to share something I just read from the morning papers which I think we should all read.
Every day of our lives, we encounter experiences that teach important life lessons but unfortunately not many of us learn these lessons or even give the issue a thought. Many times we just wade through without asking what lesson(s) the situation is teaching. When you don’t learn a lesson when you’re supposed to, you ultimately play the fool and suffer the pain again.
This article titled “What I’ve learnt in life” is an account by a young lady named Anesh, of what she'd learnt from life and I’m sharing it because it makes a whole lot of sense, and so succinctly expresses the point of my gist. It may seem poetic and some of it may sound like clichés but it goes much deeper if you read with care. As you read it, I hope it sets you thinking as it did me. Here, enjoy and remember to also share your thoughts.
My name is Anesh and I've Learnt....That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
I've Learnt....That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I’ve learnt....That when I mean No, the whole of me should clearly say No.
I've Learnt....That money doesn't buy class.
I've Learnt....That it is those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I've Learnt...That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I've Learnt....That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?
I've Learnt....That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I've Learnt....That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I've Learnt....That love, not time, heals all wounds.
I've Learnt....That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I've Learnt....That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile. No one should be taken for granted.
I've Learnt....That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
I've Learnt....That life is tough, but I'm tougher.
I've Learnt....That opportunities are never lost; someone takes the ones you miss.
I've Learnt....That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I've Learnt...That I should never miss an opportunity to tell my loved ones how much I love them because they may not be there tomorrow.
I've Learnt....That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
I've Learnt....That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I've Learnt....That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.
I've Learnt ...That it is best to give advice in only two circumstances; when it is requested and when it is a life threatening situation.

Guess what's most important is to keep learning from what we see in the Now.. and learn when and how to move on if required...
yeah Danny, learning is a life-long thing which we must all do to stay afloat the sea of life and we can never learn enough...
